About Veterans In Crisis (V.I.C.) Program
The Veterans in Crisis (V.I.C.) grant provides rapid, short term financial assistance to veterans and actively serving military members struggling to meet their essential needs. Grant funds usually address needs in the areas of housing, utility, transportation, medication, groceries, and other life sustaining needs. Every dollar raised for the fund directly supports a veterans here in West TN. This program is designed for a one time short term financial assistance and will make a significant impact on the quality of life of the veteran or service member.
Qualifications
Veteran or active service military personnel must be vetted by a:
- Veteran Service Officer (VSO)
- Veteran Affairs (VA) Social Worker
- Military Family Readiness Office
- Disabled Veterans of America (DAV)
- Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
- American Legion
Veteran or actively serving military personnel with legitimate need for:
- Groceries
- Housing
- Medication
- Transportation
- Utility
Veteran or active service military personnel must reside in one of these counties in the State of Tennessee:
- Benton
- Carroll
- Chester
- Crockett
- Decatur
- Dyer
- Fayette
- Gibson
- Hardeman
- Hardin
- Haywood
- Henderson
- Henry
- Lake
- Lauderdale
- Madison
- McNairy
- Obion
- Tipton
- Weakley

All discharges are accepted but does not mean it is approved. Once the application is completed and the applicant vetted, the Board of Directors will approve or deny the application
